Introducing the Northern Chapter Scholarship (formerly referred to as the Pipeline Scholarship) developed to support students from Northern Virginia on their path to becoming a career CPA. The VSCPA Educational Foundation has agreed to facilitate this award based on the criteria established each year by the Northern Chapter's Board of Directors. Another way to bolster the next generation of CPAs is by sharing your professional experiences directly with students. Please consider volunteering with the VSCPA's CPAs in the Classroom program.  The Board of Directors is currently reviewing annual budgets and discussing programming for the upcoming cycle that begins May 1st. Programming: All programming recommendations are welcome! Please contact a board member or Special Interest Group (SIG) leader to share suggestions. Membership Accounts: Members with non-zero balances will be dropped from active to an expired status on March 7th. These overdue accounts can still be paid up to this point to remain active. Members with an expired status are welcome to reactivate their memberships in future program years. If you have any questions about your account, please reach out to michele@ncvscpa.org. Dues: The membership cost for the upcoming year is determined by the Board of Directors. NCVSCPA is a non-profit group that works to keep member costs as low as possible. We have been cleaning up data, removing duplicate records, and generally trying to be more user friendly.
Some field labels have been changed to be more functional. For instance, we had address and alternate address. These have been changed to work address and home address. This distinction is helpful when we were looking at daytime meeting locations. "CPA license number" was added to match read more... Upcoming CPE Events: New sessions are added all the time. Nearly all CPE events are FREE to members! |
