Congratulations to Hayden Choi --

The 2024-25 VSCPA Northern Chapter Scholarship has been awarded to Hayden Choi, an accounting major at George Mason University on track to graduate in December.

Hayden shares: As I’ve continued my studies, I’ve come to see accounting as more than just numbers—it’s about making sure people have access to accurate, trustworthy information so they can make the best possible decisions. I’m especially drawn to auditing because it plays such a critical role in building that trust. One day, I hope to work in a role where I can help businesses stay accountable and help people feel confident in the financial information they rely on.

Thank you for your generosity. Your support has made a real difference in my academic journey, and I’m truly grateful.

Hello Northern Chapter – VSCPA Members,

I am honored to serve as your Chapter President for the 2025–2026 fiscal year. Building upon the strong foundations laid by my predecessors, I am excited to continue our mission of providing valuable resources, fostering professional growth, and strengthening our community of dedicated CPAs.

Continuing Excellence in CPE Offerings
Our commitment to delivering high-quality Continuing Professional Education (CPE) remains steadfast. This year, we aim to offer over 30 hours of CPE through a mix of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events. Highlights include:

Annual Tri-State Tax Update: Our flagship event scheduled for January 21, 2026.
Ethics Courses: Two sessions planned for June 18, 2025, and December 3, 2025.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs): Ongoing sessions tailored to various practice areas.
Chapter Meetings: Covering a range of current and relevant topics.
